1. Register Go to https://www.trails-end.com/scouts and register your scout. If you sold popcorn in the past, just log in and make sure you are associated with our pack. We are in the Greater Colorado Council, Alpine District, Pack 48.
2. Download the app. This is where you will track sales and take payment.
3. Sign up for some storefront shifts. The earlier you do this, the more smoothly we can make pickup/dropoff. Also - the more you sign up for, the more you can sell, the more the pack gets, and the more rewards your scout can get!
1. Sell to your friends/family that are not local - You can share in the app, or call/zoom/facetime with them for a more personal experience.
2. Sell at your shifts! Sign up for shifts on the app.
3. Sell door to door. If you are selling product at a show and sell and are the last person to sell - you can also sell door to door after the show and sell. It is easier to sell with product on hand, but you can also do it without - especially if you have some of the product information on hand to show people.
See more details on all of these options below.

Please read the following for more details about our 2024 popcorn season. Rachel Barton is also available for questions.
Most convenient way to order - especially with out of state friends and relatives. It is slightly more expensive for local customers since it includes shipping directly to their house.
Virtual Store: Share your fundraising page through the app via text, email, or social media. Customers click on the link and place online orders that will be credited automatically towards your rewards. Products ship directly to the customer.
In person sale: record Customer sales in the Online Direct section of the app. Take credit/debit payment. Product ships directly to the customer.
This is in person sales at a carefully selected location to help facilitate the most sales possible. See the Storefront Code of Conduct for best practices.

Located in several spots on the app. This is used for in person sales (door to door, friends and family in town) whether you have the product on hand or want to order it. Click on the products being sold to the customer.
Click “checkout”
If you have the product on hand make sure the “delivered button” is on. If the customer wants to order something you do not have on hand, click this spot so it says “undelivered”.
For items “delivered” at that moment (items you have on hand) Follow the directions for payment.
For items “Undelivered” follow the directions for the contact information, then payment. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE to be sure the customer gets this item after the Scout shipment comes in in the beginning of November.
This is the “old school” way to order popcorn and is available to all. It is just as easy to use the app. However if the app is not available or the customer absolutely needs to pay by check (family members only please), then the paper form is a good way to record. The order sheet also has product information so it can be handy to keep with you for additional product information.
1. Have your scout work on their pitch! Example Pitch: Hi. My name is _______________. (first name only) I’m a Cub Scout with Pack 48. We’re raising money for our campouts, pinewood derby, scout adventures, and more! Can I count on your support?
2. Check out the app and the product information. Start some sales so you are familiar with it - don't complete them. Look at all of the different methods of payment (cash, < (share), and credit). For door to door sales, the share payment method (looks like a "<") will allow people to pay with their phone (apple pay and google pay) which may make things easier (5 min). If people do not want to buy popcorn but want to support the pack, you can accept donations. Please either enter the amount into the app as a donation (Donate to Heroes and Helpers on the bottom of the sales page.)
3. Make sure you have a Class A Uniform. You will want this before selling!
4. (optional) - get a square reader. These are free (or $10 if you want it sooner from Best Buy) and will make it easier to do credit card transactions. We will have them available with a lightning connector (iphones) and a headphone jack connector for the storefront sales. If your phones are not compatible with either lightning or headphone connectors, please email/text me so I know if we should buy the bluetooth square reader for the pack.
If your kids are like mine - they might enjoy watching youtube videos over me telling them what to say or how to use the app (you can help with the app)
